Application Support & Cloud Operations Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an Application Support and Cloud Operations Engineer to ensure the availability and performance of our critical applications. You will work in a fast‑paced environment, providing second‑level support, handling incidents, and contributing to continuous improvement of cloud‑based services.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain application availability to meet SLA targets.
• Diagnose, route, and resolve incoming trouble tickets in real time.
• Perform system administration on Windows and Linux servers.
• Execute change requests and task orders on Windows servers.
• Provide L2 technical support and escalation for both infrastructure and cloud‑hosted applications.
• Communicate planned and unplanned outages to end users.
• Participate in UAT testing for bugs and new features.
• Work in a DevOps mode, understanding application functionality and defining QoS metrics.
• Support cloud infrastructure (Azure) and assist development teams with CI/CD pipelines.

Required profile

• 4–7 years of experience in application support, system administration, or cloud operations.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities and a collaborative mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments is a plus.

Required skills

• Operating system administration & scripting (Windows, Linux).
• Database administration (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
• Web services knowledge (SOAP, REST, API).
• Development experience in Python, Java, ASP.NET, Node.js, C#, PHP, React.js.
• Continuous delivery tools: Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible.
• Azure Fundamentals; CKA certification is a plus.
• Network protocol understanding (CCNA is a plus).
• ITIL Foundation knowledge (certificate is a plus).
