Dump Truck Operator

About the role

The Dump Truck Operator will work on‑site at the Sukari gold mine, supporting both open‑pit and underground mining operations. The role includes operating dump trucks, performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance, and ensuring safe transport of ore and waste materials in line with strict safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct pre‑start safety checks on the dump truck before each shift.
• Operate the dump truck according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and dispatch instructions.
• Transport ore and waste to designated stockpiles and dumps safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate with excavator operators to achieve optimal loading capacity.
• Report any equipment faults promptly to supervisors.
• Minimise spotting, maneuvering, dumping, and refueling times to improve efficiency.
• Follow all safety standards, procedures, and lawful production instructions.

Required profile

• Educational degree (any field).
• Minimum 5 years of experience operating heavy trucks.
• Experience in manufacturing, construction, mining, or oil & gas sectors.
• Valid heavy‑truck driver’s licence, preferably with a dump‑truck endorsement.
