Project Controls Lead (Solar PV & BESS)

About the role

CSI Global is seeking a Project Controls Lead to drive the integrated controls framework for its Zambia Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) program. You will oversee schedule, cost, risk, and performance reporting across both onsite and offsite workstreams, ensuring the project stays on track and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive Project Controls Plan covering schedule, cost, and risk management.
• Maintain the program‑level master schedule and mentor the onsite Planning Engineer.
• Monitor project costs, produce variance reports, and manage the change control process.
• Maintain the risk register and facilitate regular risk review workshops.
• Prepare integrated monthly PMO reports with schedule, cost, risk, and KPI dashboards.
• Review EPC contractor submissions, including baselines, progress, and look‑ahead schedules.
• Implement Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting aligned with client requirements.
• Support claims analysis by providing schedule and cost data.
• Deliver project controls training to team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Minimum 12 years of project controls experience, with at least 4 years in a lead role on large infrastructure or renewable energy projects.
• Expert‑level proficiency in Primavera P6.
• Strong knowledge of Earned Value Management, cost control, and change management practices.
• PMP or AACE certification is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
