Rooms Controller

About the role

The Rooms Controller ensures guests receive the appropriate room assignments and seamless check‑in/check‑out experiences at Le Méridien Cairo Airport. This full‑time, non‑management position supports the Guest Services team by handling reservations, room preferences, and billing accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Assign rooms according to guest requests and preferences whenever possible.
• Pre‑register designated guests and prepare key packets.
• Organise and coordinate check‑in and pre‑registration procedures for arriving groups.
• Review, track, and accommodate requests for room changes or early check‑outs, communicating status to relevant staff.
• Confirm reservations, process cancellations, and monitor out‑of‑order rooms daily.
• Ensure rates match market codes, document exceptions, and verify guest billing.
• Activate room keys, secure valid payment, and perform duplicate reservation checks.
• Run daily reports, block rooms as needed, and follow up with guests to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain confidentiality, adhere to company policies, and present a professional appearance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Less than 1 year of related hospitality experience.
• No supervisory experience required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computer and POS systems for reservations, billing, and reporting.
• Ability to manage guest check‑in/check‑out procedures and key activation.
• Clear, professional communication and strong customer‑service orientation.
