Accountant – AP & General Accounting

About the role

The Accountant will manage day‑to‑day accounting activities, focusing on Accounts Payable and general ledger functions for Menard’s Egyptian entity while supporting the KSA entity.

Key responsibilities

• Record Accounts Payable vouchers accurately in the ERP system and verify supplier invoices.
• Prepare and process supplier and operational payments, and follow up on outstanding payables.
• Maintain intercompany service vouchers, petty‑cash transactions, and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Post general ledger entries, allocate costs correctly, and support month‑end and year‑end closing.
• Assist the Chief Accountant during audits and ensure audit‑ready documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in accounting, preferably in AP or general accounting.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Detail‑oriented, structured, and able to work independently to meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with ERP systems for voucher entry and reporting.
• Knowledge of Power Query and/or Power BI for data analysis.
