Accounting Assistant (Egypt)

About the role

We are looking for a highly organized and detail‑oriented Accounting Assistant to support our daily accounting and financial operations in Egypt. The role involves processing transactions, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with both accounts payable and receivable functions while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Record and process daily financial transactions, including invoices, expenses and payments.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including invoice verification and payment processing.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards and other financial records.
• Maintain organized accounting files and supporting documentation.
• Assist in preparing financial reports, spreadsheets and account summaries.
• Monitor outstanding invoices, payments and account balances.
• Help with month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Research and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
• Provide information for internal and external inquiries and support audit documentation.

Required profile

• At least 1 month of relevant accounting or finance experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good numerical and analytical abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Experience using accounting software or financial management systems.
• Strong data entry and record‑keeping capabilities.
• Ability to identify discrepancies and perform basic reconciliations.
