Aircraft Technician - Air Arabia

About the role

Air Arabia is looking for an Aircraft Technician in Cairo who assists the Engineer in performing airframe, engine and avionics maintenance on assigned aircraft. The technician carries out inspections, repairs and component replacement, records work to the required standard and complies with Air Arabia and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review assigned tasks with the Engineer or Manager before starting, covering priorities, documentation and cautions.
• Prepare and carry out scheduled maintenance, obtaining the right documentation, parts, tools and ground support equipment.
• Perform scheduled test and inspection tasks, recording defects and damage in line with approved procedures.
• Carry out servicing, repairs, component replacements and tests as directed, using approved data and procedures.
• Report task status regularly and alert the Engineer-in-Charge to any aircraft or work issues.
• Follow mandatory safety precautions, use proper GSE and protective equipment, and respect human factors such as work interruptions, access and lighting.
• Support the team and other departments involved in scheduled maintenance checks, and present a professional image to external partners and customers.
• Be aware of maintenance costs and minimise waste of consumables and parts.

Required profile

• Diploma-level qualification as a Civil Aircraft Maintenance Technician; experience is expected.
• At least 2 years performing maintenance on large commercial aircraft, preferably Airbus types.
• At least 2 years in a line or base maintenance environment.
• Solid basic understanding of aircraft maintenance theory and practice.
• Ability to use a computer (Microsoft Office).
• Ability to obtain an Egyptian driver's licence.
