Application Engineer – Well Services

About the role

The Application Engineer – Well Services designs, plans, applies and supports well‑service solutions for complex drilling projects worldwide. Working closely with subsurface, well systems and regulatory teams, you will develop safe and efficient drilling plans that meet client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Support Health, Safety and Environment policies and Weatherford Quality standards.
• Prepare and manage project proposals for common Well Services wells.
• Ensure best‑practice drilling proposals and programs are followed.
• Provide engineering support to operations and coordinate field projects when required.
• Lead HAZID/HAZOP, DWOP and well‑planning meetings.
• Track lessons learned and apply them to future operations.
• Monitor and optimise Well Services performance in real time.
• Maintain communication with customers during and after jobs.
• Audit Well Services jobs and approve rig‑visit field engineers.
• Assist sales and business development with client presentations and technical reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 + years experience in rig‑less and thru‑tubing operations.
• Strong background in Production Solutions and/or Artificial Lifting Systems / Slick Line.
• Experience working on commercial proposals and in an office environment.
• Willingness to travel to remote on‑shore, off‑shore and international locations.
