Build and Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

Siemens Digital Industries Software is seeking a Build and Infrastructure Engineer to join its Cairo team. You will design, implement and maintain build, packaging and release pipelines, driving automation and supporting a DevOps culture.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end build, packaging and release processes for software products.
• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
• Automate tasks across the software development lifecycle to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Promote DevOps best practices and foster collaboration between development, QA and operations.
• Manage and maintain build servers and Linux environments, ensuring performance and stability.
• Develop and maintain Bash and Python scripts for automation and toolchain integration.
• Diagnose and resolve build, deployment and environment issues quickly.
• Communicate release status and challenges to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Create and keep up‑to‑date documentation for build processes, release procedures and system configurations.

Required profile

• 3–8 years of professional experience in Build and Release Engineering, DevOps or a related role.
• Strong hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools, especially Jenkins.
• Solid understanding of DevOps methodologies and Linux system administration.
• Proficiency in Bash and Python scripting.
• Experience with Git version control and platforms such as GitLab or GitHub.
• Familiarity with collaboration tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Basic knowledge of database concepts and SQL.
