About the role
The Community Relations Superintendent leads the social performance function at the Sukari gold mine, ensuring a strong social license to operate. This senior position oversees stakeholder engagement, grievance management, and community investment programs while aligning with ESG commitments and GRI reporting standards.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, update, and govern the site Social Management Plan and stakeholder engagement framework.
- Direct transparent, audit‑ready grievance mechanisms and resolve community issues diplomatically.
- Oversee community investment and CSR initiatives, ensuring alignment with ESG goals and socio‑economic impact metrics.
- Audit and maintain ESG data collection processes to ensure GRI‑compliant sustainability reporting.
- Provide risk‑based advice on social, cultural, and human‑rights impacts using VPSHR/UNGP frameworks.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Social Sciences, Development Studies or a related field.
- Proven experience in community relations, stakeholder engagement, or ESG within a mining or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of GRI standards, social license concepts, and grievance resolution processes.
