About the role
The Demi Chef de Partie will support the kitchen team at Sheraton Soma Bay Resort by preparing high‑quality dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring smooth service during busy periods. This full‑time, onsite position offers the chance to work in a prestigious hotel environment.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare special meals, cold foods, and substitute items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Regulate oven, broiler, grill, and roaster temperatures; manage thawing and storage processes.
- Maintain food logs, monitor portion sizes, and ensure proper garnish and arrangement.
- Communicate with the Chef and service staff about specials, excess inventory, and out‑of‑stock items.
- Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and performance coaching as needed.
- Follow all safety, security, and uniform policies; report maintenance or safety issues.
Required profile
- Technical, trade, or vocational school degree in culinary arts or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant kitchen experience.
- No prior supervisory experience required.
