Design Manager

About the role

The Design Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Asyut, Egypt. This role oversees the design process from concept to delivery, ensuring that all engineering and architectural design work meets project requirements, quality standards, and regulatory guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and review/approve design documents.
• Manage design schedules, resolve technical issues, and ensure constructability.
• Collaborate with project managers, site supervision teams, and clients to align design solutions with project goals and budgets.
• Mentor junior designers, implement design best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement of the design management system.
• Ensure design compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Prepare design reports and documentation.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in design management and leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency with CAD and BIM tools and familiarity with applicable codes and standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline; professional certifications are a plus.
• Experience in consultancy or engineering firms, preferably within the region, and understanding of ISO 9001:2015 quality management principles.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
