Electrical Planning Engineer

About the role

Alfanar Projects is seeking an Electrical Planning Engineer to manage resource planning, utilization tracking and project control reporting for its electrical projects. The role works closely with Project Managers, Operations and other stakeholders to ensure efficient deployment of manpower and equipment and to provide clear visibility through dashboards and reports.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain manpower and equipment resource plans in coordination with Project Managers.
• Track and monitor resource utilization, allocations and availability across ongoing projects.
• Maintain qualification and competency matrices to ensure correct resource deployment.
• Support project control activities including planning data validation, bookings and coordination.
• Manage planning activities in SAP ERP, including project setup, bookings, billing coordination and planning updates.
• Prepare and deliver dashboards and periodic reports using Excel and, where applicable, Power BI.
• Analyze planning and operational data to support decision‑making and process improvement.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to forecast future resource requirements and improve planning efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (mandatory).
• 2–6 years of experience in planning, project control or operations within electrical projects or engineering services.
• Strong communication, coordination and stakeholder‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Excel for tracking, reporting and analysis.
• Experience with SAP ERP planning modules.
• Familiarity with Power BI for dashboard creation.
