Engineering Business Development Manager

About the role

Floatmap is seeking an Engineering Business Development Manager to drive growth within the engineering and construction sectors. Based on-site in Alexandria, you will identify new opportunities, build client relationships, and promote the company’s integrated engineering services.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in engineering and construction.
• Research target markets and prepare technical and commercial proposals.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to align solutions with client needs.
• Track opportunities from lead generation through closing.
• Represent Floatmap at meetings, industry events, and strategic partnership discussions.
• Gather market intelligence and contribute to revenue growth and brand positioning.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to refine service offerings and improve client experience.

Required profile

• Strong business development skills, including lead generation, client relationship management, and sales pipeline tracking.
• Experience in engineering or construction sectors with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
• Competence in market research, competitive analysis, and strategic planning.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities; fluent in English, Arabic a plus.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary engineering teams and manage cross‑functional projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications are beneficial.
• Organizational attention to detail and capacity to work independently in a fast‑paced agency.
• Familiarity with CRM tools, productivity software, and basic commercial/contract principles.
