Excel Specialist - Remote

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Excel Specialist to work remotely on a contract basis. The role involves designing realistic business scenarios, creating and reviewing Office documents, and providing detailed feedback on AI-generated outputs to improve large language models.

Key responsibilities

• Design and simulate complex business scenarios using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Engage in multi-turn conversations with an LLM, presenting document-related prompts.
• Create, review, and compare AI-generated .xlsx.docx, and .pptx files against professional standards.
• Document feedback and produce side-by-side preference data for AI model refinement.
• Provide domain-specific insights across various industries and business functions.
• Communicate findings clearly in written and verbal formats to the AI training team.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Fortune 500 environments using Microsoft Office on high-impact projects.
• Background in business roles such as private-equity associate, investment-banking analyst, junior consultant, FP&A analyst, HR, or marketing strategist.
• Proven ability to build complex models, reports, analyses, and presentations across finance, healthcare, tech, consulting, or retail.
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience interacting with large language models or writing long-form AI prompts is a plus.
