Executive Business Partner to CFO (Remote, Canada)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Executive Business Partner to support the CFO of a fast‑growing DTC startup. This remote, Canada‑based position works closely with senior leadership to streamline operations, drive strategic initiatives, and enhance financial decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the CFO’s calendar, inbox and priorities across multiple workstreams.
• Act as an execution partner, coordinating communication between leadership, vendors, legal, finance and operations.
• Support business operations and strategic projects, tracking deliverables and ensuring progress.
• Oversee vendor relationships, contracts, renewals and operational due‑diligence processes.
• Assist with legal and compliance workflows, including contract coordination and documentation tracking.
• Review financial reports, track budgets, vendor pricing and invoices to identify optimization opportunities.
• Build and improve SOPs, dashboards, workflows and other operational systems.
• Leverage AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT and automation agents to enhance efficiency.
• Prepare meeting materials, agendas and executive briefings, and maintain follow‑up accountability.
• Support exit‑readiness activities, data‑room preparation and confidential documentation.
• Coordinate travel, logistics and ad‑hoc executive support in a fast‑changing environment.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience supporting founders, CEOs, CFOs or senior executives in startup, DTC, ecommerce or SaaS environments.
• Strong background in executive support fundamentals: calendar and inbox management, communications and prioritisation.
• Experience in scaled DTC/ecommerce businesses, preferably subscription models.
• Demonstrated ability to operate as an executive business partner in high‑growth settings.
