About the role
The Field Sales Specialist (often called an SDR) focuses on identifying and qualifying new business opportunities. You will be the first point of contact for prospects, creating interest and setting the stage for senior Account Executives to close deals.
Key responsibilities
- Generate leads through cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn, and networking events.
- Research target accounts using sales tools and databases to build a qualified pipeline.
- Craft personalized messages that engage prospects and uncover their needs.
- Qualify leads by assessing budget, authority, need, and timeline (BANT).
- Hand off qualified opportunities to Account Executives or Relationship Managers with detailed notes.
- Maintain accurate records of all interactions in the CRM system.
- Collaborate with marketing to provide feedback on lead quality and campaign performance.
- Produce regular reports on prospecting activity, conversion rates, and pipeline health.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- Previous experience in sales, marketing, or a customer‑facing role is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident cold caller.
- Resilient mindset with the ability to handle rejection and stay motivated.
- Strong integrity and commitment to ethical conduct.
