Financial Auditing Unit Head

About the role

Minapharm, a leading pharmaceutical company in Egypt and the Middle East, is seeking a Financial Auditing Unit Head to lead the planning, execution, and reporting of all financial audit engagements. The role ensures robust financial controls, compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations, and delivers evidence‑based audit findings to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in developing the risk‑based annual audit plan and present it for senior approval.
• Design and continuously update audit work programs covering accounts payable/receivable, payroll, fixed assets, treasury, tax compliance, and financial reporting.
• Lead and supervise audit engagements, allocate tasks to staff, review working papers, and ensure adherence to IIA standards and quality benchmarks.
• Conduct opening and closing meetings with auditee department heads and document minutes.
• Identify, assess, and document financial risks that could affect strategic and operational objectives.
• Execute unplanned or special audit assignments as directed by the Audit Committee or Senior Manager.
• Prepare draft audit reports with clear findings and actionable recommendations for senior review.
• Issue Corrective/Preventive Action Requests (CPAR) for identified non‑conformities.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading financial audit engagements in a large organization.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and IIA audit standards.
• Ability to supervise audit staff, allocate tasks, and review audit documentation.
• Excellent analytical skills to assess financial risks and develop actionable recommendations.
