Financial Operations Manager

About the role

The Financial Operations Manager (FinOps Manager) is a senior leader within Mumzworld’s Finance team. You will own the strategy, design and governance of financial processes and controls, while providing senior leadership with the insights needed for strategic decisions in a fast‑growing e‑commerce environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the end‑to‑end financial operations agenda, setting road‑maps for process design, optimisation and scalability.
• Own the internal control framework, including policies, procedures and Risk Control Matrices, and liaise with internal and external auditors.
• Conduct risk‑based reviews of core processes such as procure‑to‑pay, order‑to‑cash, inventory and record‑to‑report, performing controls testing and tracking remediation.
• Lead financial analysis, reporting and performance‑management frameworks, delivering strategic insights to senior executives.
• Drive finance automation and systems strategy, selecting and optimising ERP, BI and reporting tools.
• Build, coach and develop a high‑performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 6+ years of post‑qualification experience, primarily in internal audit (Big 4 risk advisory or in‑house), with at least 2 years in a managerial or team‑lead role.
• Proven track record of leading end‑to‑end audits, preparing Risk Control Matrices, testing controls and managing remediation.
• Professional qualifications: CA/CPA/ICAEW/ACCA required; CIA or similar audit certification strongly preferred; MBA a plus.
• Experience in consumer‑focused, high‑growth sectors such as e‑commerce, FMCG or retail is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
