Fit-Out Manager (West Cairo)

About the role

JLL is looking for an experienced, technically proficient Fit-Out Manager with a strong MEP and architecture background to lead the design development, technical coordination and delivery of MEP and architectural fit-outs across retail, F&B, administration offices and commercial units. The role combines hands-on site management with technical design oversight, ensuring design intent, buildability and compliance with property standards, approved specifications and mall requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead fit-out design development, space planning and technical detailing, and coordinate architectural, interior, structural, civil and MEP drawings, including shop drawings, reflected ceiling plans, joinery details and material submittals
• Drive coordination with tenants, consultants, contractors and suppliers, resolve RFIs, manage design revisions and secure statutory approvals, NOCs and mall/building management clearances
• Inspect sites regularly, evaluate materials and finishes, track non-conformances and oversee testing coordination and handover
• Support cost optimization and value engineering through BOQ reviews and specification assessments, and enforce mall RDD/fit-out requirements
• Manage the fit-out team, prepare technical and progress reports and liaise with tenants, contractors, clients and government entities

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, MEP, Interior Design or a related technical discipline; candidates with both architectural and MEP knowledge are preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience in interior fit-out design, technical coordination, RDD or MEP/architectural supervision, preferably in a fit-out contractor, design-and-build or mall/retail environment
• Experience with retail, shopping malls, F&B or commercial projects, including schedule recovery, landlord approvals and vendor management
• Strong communication, leadership, team management and site presence
• Residing preferably in West Cairo; on-site in Cairo

Required skills

• Fluent reading and marking up of interior design, architectural, MEP and joinery drawings
• Spec governance (spec books, sections, submittals)
• AutoCAD (mandatory); familiarity with MS Project/Primavera, SketchUp, Bluebeam or InDesign
• Understanding of RDD standards, Egyptian fit-out approval procedures and building management guidelines
