Fixed Assets & CAPEX Accountant

About the role

The Fixed Assets & CAPEX Accountant will lead the accounting function for fixed assets and capital expenditure projects, ensuring accurate classification, capitalization, and cost allocation across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accounting activities related to fixed assets and CAPEX investments.
• Review and control CAPEX projects from an accounting perspective, ensuring proper classification and capitalization.
• Monitor CAPEX spending against approved budgets and track project commitments and variances.
• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register, reconcile it with the General Ledger, and supervise asset additions, transfers, reclassifications, disposals, and write‑offs.
• Prepare depreciation calculations, ensure timely journal entries, and coordinate periodic physical verification of assets.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end closing activities for fixed assets, CAPEX, and depreciation.
• Produce management reports on CAPEX, fixed assets, depreciation, and reconciliations.
• Support internal and external audits by providing schedules, analysis, and documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• 5–8 years of relevant accounting experience, with strong exposure to Fixed Assets and CAPEX accounting.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the FMCG industry.
• Proven ability to monitor CAPEX budgets, variances and financial commitments.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
