Fleet Section Head

About the role

The Fleet Section Head will lead the planning, scheduling and operational oversight of a bus fleet, ensuring efficient utilization, on‑time service and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage bus schedules to maximise fleet utilisation and smooth transportation services.
• Prepare and monitor vacation plans for drivers and ticket collectors while maintaining uninterrupted operations.
• Supervise electronic operation systems and transportation tracking activities.
• Oversee internal and external transportation routes to ensure efficiency and schedule compliance.
• Follow up on school transportation operations and maintain service quality standards.
• Handle customer meetings, resolve complaints and respond to operational inquiries professionally.
• Supervise internal and external transportation supervisors and monitor fleet inspectors across all routes.
• Conduct daily operational analysis, including passenger density and revenue comparisons, to support decision‑making.
• Identify and resolve daily operational issues, implementing alternative solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Lead regular meetings with drivers and ticket collectors to discuss challenges and improve performance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations and operational procedures.
• Prepare operational reports and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, logistics, transportation management or a related field.
• Proven experience in fleet operations, transportation management or logistics supervision.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Good knowledge of transportation operations and fleet‑management systems.
• Excellent communication and customer‑handling capabilities.
