Forming Manager

About the role

The Forming Manager will lead glass forming operations for a leading glass container producer in the greater Cairo area. This full‑time, on‑site position oversees one or two furnaces, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety compliance are consistently met.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of more than 15 operators, allocating resources efficiently.
• Monitor and optimise machine performance across one or two glass forming furnaces.
• Ensure product quality by overseeing quality control procedures and corrective actions.
• Maintain equipment reliability through preventive maintenance and rapid troubleshooting.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing techniques.
• Guarantee compliance with occupational safety and environmental regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in hollow glass manufacturing, with deep knowledge of forming processes.
• Proven leadership and team‑management experience supervising production teams of 15+ members.
• Strong problem‑solving and process‑optimization capabilities.
• Solid understanding of quality control and safety standards in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• Fluent English; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
