Head of Security – Physical, Info & Cyber Security

About the role

We are seeking a Head of Security to lead all physical, information and cyber security functions for DB‑El Sewedy Rail Operation Egypt in Cairo. The role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on technical leadership to protect people, assets and the organization’s reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor enterprise‑wide physical security policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with global physical and information security standards and regulatory reporting.
• Design loss‑control systems and integrate them into operational policies.
• Lead the Emergency Response Team and coordinate with local law enforcement, fire services and medical emergency providers.
• Conduct regular security guard performance reviews and monthly internal compliance audits.
• Identify, assess and mitigate security risks in partnership with operations.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, recommending corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 10‑15 years of experience in the security industry, preferably with a military intelligence background.
• Strong knowledge of compliance, relevant laws and law‑enforcement practices.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Arabic; additional languages a plus.
• Experience in a fast‑paced, multinational environment.
• Good understanding of facility maintenance and advanced MS Office skills.
