HR Services Manager

About the role

The HR Services Manager will lead employee and industrial relations, policy governance, investigations and payroll oversight for AngloGold Ashanti’s Sukari gold mine in Egypt. Based on‑site in Marsa Alam, the role ensures compliant, efficient and employee‑centred HR services while supporting unions, worker representatives and senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all employee‑relations matters, including disciplinary actions, grievances, absenteeism and workplace conflicts.
• Manage relationships with labour unions and employee representative bodies; support collective bargaining and labour negotiations.
• Oversee industrial‑relations issues, resolve disputes and maintain workforce continuity during disruptions.
• Develop, review and implement HR policies aligned with Egyptian labour legislation and international best practices.
• Partner with Legal, Compliance, Security, Internal Audit, Finance and IT on high‑risk HR matters and crisis management.
• Govern HR information systems and payroll processes, ensuring data integrity and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading employee‑relations and industrial‑relations functions in a complex, unionised environment.
• Strong knowledge of Egyptian labour law and ability to advise senior leaders on disciplinary and grievance procedures.
• Demonstrated capability to support collective bargaining, labour negotiations and crisis management.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience collaborating across Legal, Compliance, Finance and IT.

Required skills

• HR Information Systems (HRIS) administration and payroll oversight.
