Junior Automation Engineer

About the role

ABB is seeking a Junior Automation Engineer to support the design and delivery of automation solutions for industrial projects. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers, contributing to both small‑scale assignments and portions of larger initiatives while applying basic design thinking principles.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a design authority for low to medium complexity engineering tasks.
• Complete assignments on small projects or project segments in a cost‑effective manner.
• Evaluate, select, and apply standard techniques and procedures for engineering work.
• Provide technical support during testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Assist in preparing proposals and presentations for engineering projects.
• Use checklists to verify designs against applicable standards and engineering guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Power engineering.
• 1‑2 years of experience as an automation engineer.
• Fluency in spoken and written English and Arabic; French is a plus.
• Good knowledge of electrical and automation systems, design processes, and ISO 9001 requirements.
• Familiarity with SAP training, customer‑focused communication, and presentation skills.
