About the role
We are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to provide high‑level administrative support to our team of lawyers. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations, handling legal documents, and facilitating communication within the firm.
Key responsibilities
- Assist one or more lawyers with drafting, formatting, editing, and transmitting legal documents and related graphics.
- Transcribe, proofread, and amend legal paperwork, and support courtroom procedures when required.
- Prepare invoices, track reimbursable expenses, and manage client billing queries in coordination with finance.
- Maintain lawyers’ calendars, schedule meetings, teleconferences, and arrange travel.
- File, scan, copy, and fax legal documents promptly and accurately.
- Screen, direct, and prioritize incoming calls and emails for the legal team.
- Adhere to firm policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of secretarial experience in a professional services environment.
- Familiarity with legal terminology and document handling.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Strong time‑management, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Professional demeanor with the ability to build relationships with senior executives.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with legal technology such as document management systems, transcription software, and dictaphone equipment.
