Maintenance & Spare Parts Manager

About the role

The Maintenance & Spare Parts Manager will lead all maintenance activities and oversee the spare parts inventory for a water and carbonated soft drinks production plant. The role ensures reliable equipment operation, minimizes downtime, and controls maintenance costs through effective planning, scheduling, and inventory management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and manage a comprehensive preventive maintenance (PM) program for production and utility equipment.
• Coordinate corrective maintenance to reduce production interruptions.
• Create and maintain maintenance procedures, work instructions and safety protocols.
• Monitor equipment performance, analyse failure data and drive reliability improvements.
• Lead, train and evaluate the maintenance team.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering and HSE departments.
• Manage external contractors for specialized tasks.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
• Prepare and control the maintenance budget.
• Track and report key metrics such as uptime, MTBF and MTTR.
• Design and operate a robust spare parts inventory system, including procurement, vendor selection and stock level optimisation.
• Conduct regular inventory audits and maintain accurate records.

Required profile

• Proactive leader with a strong technical background in plant equipment.
• Proven experience managing maintenance teams and spare parts in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Excellent organisational abilities and a track record of cost‑effective maintenance planning.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance and safety standards.
