Manufacturing Engineer Subject Matter Expert (Static Equipment)

About the role

Immensa is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer – Subject Matter Expert (Static Equipment) to serve as the technical authority for static equipment such as valves, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, columns, tanks, skids and associated piping across assigned manufacturing projects.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings, including GD&T, weld symbols and NDT callouts, to define manufacturing routes.
• Select optimal fabrication processes (plate cutting, rolling, shell‑and‑head fabrication, tube‑to‑tubesheet welding, PWHT, etc.) and material specifications.
• Develop and manage project schedules, milestones and OTIF delivery targets.
• Issue technical data packages, review supplier fabrication and welding plans, and resolve technical queries.
• Lead design and process reviews, identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Review inspection and test data, coordinate third‑party inspections and ensure compliance with ASME, API, ASTM and customer standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Welding Engineering.
• 5–6 years of experience in static equipment fabrication within oil & gas, energy or heavy engineering.
• Deep knowledge of pressure‑vessel design, heat‑exchanger fabrication, welding processes and relevant codes (ASME VIII, IX, B31.3, API, TEMA, ASTM).
• Project‑management experience with planning, scheduling and stakeholder coordination.
