Material Planner – Customer Facing Specialist

About the role

The Material Planner ensures that the right materials are available at the right time to support production. Working closely with suppliers, production and purchasing teams, the role focuses on maintaining efficient material flow and minimizing costs.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and forecast material requirements using MRP, JIT and Kanban tools.
• Coordinate with production and purchasing departments to secure adequate supply.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to guarantee timely deliveries.
• Optimize material flow to align with production schedules and reduce inventory costs.
• Monitor inventory levels and adjust plans based on demand forecasts.

Required profile

• Experience in material planning or supply chain within a production environment.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret demand forecasts and inventory data.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MRP systems.
• Knowledge of Just‑In‑Time (JIT) and Kanban methodologies.
• Ability to evaluate and forecast material requirements.
