Product Engineer (Backend)

About the role

You will own a slice of Luciq end‑to‑end, from problem definition through design, code, rollout and delivering customer value. The stack is Ruby on Rails and Golang running on Kubernetes clusters in AWS, with ClickHouse, Kafka and Flink handling ingestion and queries. Engineers are expected to guide junior talent, delegate hard tasks, review rigorously and stay accountable for what ships.

Key responsibilities

• Ship a product area end‑to‑end: scope, build, launch, monitor usage and ensure customer value.
• Build the agentic parts of the product and leverage coding agents for codegen, migrations, test coverage and spec‑to‑PR workflows.
• Engage directly with customers: join escalations, review session replays and participate in calls.
• Instrument shipped features for adoption metrics, latency, p95 and infrastructure cost; operate them on‑call and share learnings.

Required profile

• Track record of shipping products that real users depend on, influencing product decisions.
• Minimum 5 years of production software experience in a fast‑moving product engineering environment.
• Deep production experience in Golang or comparable server language.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS at production scale (compute, storage, networking, CI/CD, cost awareness).
• Experience building on LLMs and using agent‑assisted workflows.
