Profitability Analyst – Financial Performance & Cost Optimization

About the role

The Profitability Analyst will drive financial performance across multiple business units by ensuring accurate cost allocation, analysing gross profit trends, and delivering insightful variance reports. Working closely with Group Finance, Business Units, and the Centre of Excellence Pricing team, you will provide data‑driven recommendations that support cost management, pricing optimisation and sustainable margin improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Group Finance and Business Units to execute timely and accurate cost‑of‑sales allocations following approved methodologies.
• Monitor allocation consistency, transparency and data integrity, and resolve any discrepancies.
• Analyse gross profit performance, identify risks and opportunities, and validate pricing assumptions with the CoE Pricing team.
• Prepare periodic profitability and cost variance reports, conduct root‑cause analysis and present actionable insights to finance and business stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain dashboards that support management decision‑making.
• Identify and recommend cost‑optimization initiatives, perform scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis, and track the impact of implemented measures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, profitability analysis or business controlling.
• Strong understanding of cost allocation methodologies, margin analysis and financial performance management.
• Experience working within Group Finance structures and across multiple business units is a plus.
• Excellent analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
