Programme Support Analyst – Cairo

About the role

The Programme Support Analyst in the Programme Management Support Unit serves as the central authority on programme quality assurance, performance management and financial integrity for UNDP Egypt. Reporting to the Deputy Resident Representative, the role links programme, operations and partnerships to strengthen delivery, optimise resource use and ensure audit‑readiness and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance of the programme portfolio with UNDP Programme and Operations Policies, Results‑Based Management standards and Internal Control Frameworks, including financial recording and audit follow‑up.
• Coordinate compliance and oversight across Programme and Operations teams, establishing tools for accurate performance data and corporate dashboards.
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting and expenditure monitoring across all resources, providing regular strategic financial overviews for senior management.
• Advise senior management on oversight, compliance and assurance issues affecting country programmes and operations.
• Set up gender‑sensitive SOPs and promote gender equality throughout programme processes.

Required profile

• Incumbent is expected to display managerial innovation, initiative and a strong client orientation that encourages excellence in programme delivery.
• Willingness to undertake emerging tasks and additional duties as requested by senior management.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems for financial and managerial oversight.
• Strong financial analysis capabilities to monitor budgets and resource allocations.
