Project Control / Planning Manager

About the role

Egis International, a leading global architectural, consulting, construction engineering, operations and mobility services firm, is looking for an experienced Project Control / Planning Manager to join its Cairo team. The role covers developing, monitoring and controlling project schedules and budgets for infrastructure projects, specifically metro, electrified railway and electrified light rail transport construction, working with project teams, stakeholders and senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop project schedules and analyse them using computerised project control tools, identify variances and implement corrective actions
• Monitor progress and manage budgets, performing earned value analysis and forecasting
• Prepare and present status reports, dashboards and performance metrics to stakeholders and senior management
• Identify and mitigate schedule and project risks, develop contingency plans and support change management
• Coordinate with project teams to optimise resource allocation and resolve scheduling conflicts
• Maintain project documentation such as schedules, budgets, change logs and baseline records
• Analyse performance data and recommend process improvements

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• At least 18 years of professional experience in infrastructure projects
• At least 10 years in project control and administration for metro, electrified railway or electrified light rail transport construction
• At least 5 years in a Project Control / Planning Manager position or equivalent senior role
• Experience with risk management and change control
• Preferred: PMP or PRINCE2 certification, baseline management experience, and experience in the Middle East or similar regions

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project, Primavera P6 or equivalent software
• Demonstrated expertise in earned value management (EVM) and cost control
• Project scheduling techniques including critical path analysis and resource levelling
• Advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting
