Senior Accounts Payable Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Accountant to join our finance team in Cairo. The role focuses on managing the full accounts payable cycle for a company operating in the medical devices and pharmaceutical sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Review and verify supplier invoices for medical devices, consumables, spare parts and service agreements, ensuring all supporting documents are complete.
• Validate pricing, quantities, warranty terms and cost allocation while complying with Ministry of Health regulations and import requirements.
• Prepare and process supplier payments via bank transfers, checks and online banking, handling L/Cs, customs payments and foreign‑currency transfers.
• Conduct monthly reconciliations with local and international suppliers, resolve discrepancies and prepare AP aging reports and accruals.
• Post all AP transactions accurately in the ERP system, maintain supplier master data and support month‑end/year‑end closing.
• Prepare cash‑outflow forecasts, AP aging and customs‑related financial reports.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Warehouse, Regulatory Affairs and Supply Chain to ensure alignment and issue resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• 5–7 years of experience in Accounts Payable, preferably within medical devices, pharmaceutical or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of Procure‑to‑Pay cycles, cost allocation and internal controls.
• High accuracy, documentation discipline and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Odoo.
• Knowledge of import procedures, customs documentation and medical equipment regulations.
