Senior Associate – Operations – Imports

About the role

The Senior Associate – Ops‑Imports will support the trade operations team in processing import‑related transactions, ensuring compliance with SOPs, OPMs and international payment standards. You will act as a key liaison between internal units and external counterparties, delivering accurate and timely services.

Key responsibilities

• Process import payments, trust receipts and funded risk participations in line with SOP/OPM guidelines.
• Perform sanction checks on parties and handle commodity trade operation documents.
• Authorize and input transactions into the system and prepare relevant SWIFT messages.
• Monitor charges recovery, prevent revenue leakage and ensure all reconciliation entries are posted.
• Address customer service issues, share knowledge gaps and close audit observations promptly.
• Participate in automation projects, team huddles and provide fast‑track solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 3‑4 years of experience in trade operations or related banking functions.
• Strong understanding of import payment processes and global compliance frameworks.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment across UAE and IBG.
