Senior Tax Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to lead tax compliance and planning for a diverse client base. The role involves managing complex tax filings, providing strategic advice, and mentoring junior staff while staying current with evolving tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns.
• Provide tax planning advice to minimize client liabilities.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
• Research and analyze tax issues, delivering actionable recommendations.
• Communicate with clients to gather information and address tax-related questions.
• Train and mentor junior tax accountants.
• Assist with tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
• Collaborate with other departments for accurate and timely tax reporting.
• Maintain organized tax records and documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of tax accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational abilities.
