Shift Engineer – Power Plant Operations

About the role

As a Shift Engineer you will join a dedicated team responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Siemens Energy’s gas‑powered plant in Burullus. You will monitor plant performance, execute start‑up and shut‑down procedures, and respond to alarms while contributing to projects that improve reliability and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Continuously monitor all plant systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Execute plant shut‑down and start‑up sequences as required.
• Respond promptly to alarms, diagnose issues, and take corrective actions.
• Collaborate with other departments to support operational goals and safety compliance.
• Maintain generating requirements while adhering to safety regulations.
• Participate in training and development activities to enhance technical knowledge.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of power plant operations and maintenance, including mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience with safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
• Ability to analyze and resolve technical issues effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset.
• Commitment to continuous learning and adherence to international management systems.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the SPPA‑M3000 Plant Management System.
• Understanding of mechanical systems in power plants.
• Understanding of electrical systems in power plants.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
