Specialist Inventory Controller – Catalog & Availability

About the role

We are looking for a Specialist Inventory Controller to join Talabat’s Local Shops team. The role focuses on improving catalog accuracy, product availability and assortment visibility across all stores, ensuring that the on‑ground inventory is correctly reflected in the app.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor product availability and out‑of‑stock performance daily across all branches.
• Ensure that items available in stores are accurately displayed in the application and that scanned items are reflected in the catalog and uploaded via SFTP.
• Identify and resolve catalog issues such as missing items, incorrect mapping, barcode errors, and SKU mismatches.
• Analyse data to pinpoint top out‑of‑stock items, recurring catalog problems and availability gaps.
• Validate branch feedback and align catalog updates with actual store assortment.
• Communicate product and catalog issues to vendors and follow up until resolution.
• Coordinate with district managers, scanning teams, operations, and account managers to drive execution.
• Prepare regular reports on availability trends, out‑of‑stock rates and catalog performance.
• Escalate recurring issues with root‑cause analysis and actionable plans.

Required profile

• 2–4+ years of experience in inventory control, catalog operations or product content management.
• Strong understanding of product catalog structures, including barcodes, SKUs and content attributes.
• Proficiency with Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.
• Analytical mindset with ability to identify trends, gaps and opportunities from data.
• Experience coordinating with vendors and multiple internal stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills.
