Surface Treatment Manager

About the role

The Surface Treatment Manager oversees all surface treatment operations, including sandblasting, galvanizing, and painting, ensuring production targets and quality standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily surface treatment activities and allocate manpower, chemicals, and materials.
• Supervise senior and junior production engineers, providing technical guidance and problem‑solving.
• Monitor process quality: cleanliness after sandblasting, coating thickness after galvanizing, and adhesion/finish after painting.
• Report equipment breakdowns to maintenance and coordinate downtime minimisation.
• Track treated output versus plan and report to the Standard Production Manager.
• Enforce safety and environmental standards and drive process improvements with the Operational Excellence team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in surface treatment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Proven ability to lead engineers, technicians and shift workers.
• Intermediate English proficiency for technical documentation and reporting.
