AWS Security Engineer

About the role

Ocypheris is looking for a full‑time AWS Security Engineer to protect cloud‑based applications, networks and infrastructure. You will work remotely, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to identify vulnerabilities and implement robust security solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Secure applications, networks and cloud environments by identifying and remediating vulnerabilities.
• Manage security tools, conduct risk assessments and implement security measures.
• Review AWS security findings across services such as Security Hub, GuardDuty, AWS Config, IAM, S3, EC2 and SSM.
• Validate risk prioritization, remediation recommendations and exception workflows.
• Test PR‑style remediation bundles to ensure guidance is practical and safe.

Required profile

• 2+ years of hands‑on AWS or cloud security experience.
• Strong knowledge of application security, network security and overall cybersecurity principles.
• Excellent teamwork, communication skills and fluency in English.
