Compliance Officer

About the role

MedNet Egypt is seeking a skilled Compliance Officer to ensure the organization operates in line with all applicable laws, regulations, and group standards. The role involves overseeing compliance across governance, financial crime, sanctions, and anti‑money‑laundering areas.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, understand, and monitor all regulatory and legal requirements relevant to MedNet Egypt.
• Implement and maintain the Compliance Management System according to MedNet policy.
• Provide regular training on compliance risks and track participation.
• Serve as the primary liaison between MedNet Egypt and the regional compliance team.
• Maintain and update AML, sanctions, and financial‑crime manuals and related procedures.
• Support internal and external audit activities and follow up on audit findings.
• Assist in preparing board meeting materials to meet legal and regulatory obligations.
• Draft contracts, agreements, and letters to ensure legal and compliance conformity, and manage related record‑keeping.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related field.
• Professional certification in Compliance or AML is an advantage.
• Minimum 3 years of compliance or regulatory experience in health insurance or a comparable sector.
• Strong knowledge of applicable governance and compliance regulations.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
• Integrity, problem‑solving ability, and sound judgment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of AML, sanctions, and financial‑crime regulations.
• Familiarity with compliance management systems and processes.
• Ability to develop and deliver compliance training.
