GL Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a diligent GL Accountant to join our finance team. In this position you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, managing fixed‑asset accounting, and delivering accurate financial reports in line with IFRS and local standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review the trial balance, ensuring accurate account classification.
• Investigate and resolve trial‑balance discrepancies and unusual variances.
• Execute monthly, quarterly, and year‑end closing activities.
• Manage fixed‑asset accounting, including capitalization, transfers, disposals and depreciation calculations.
• Maintain and update the fixed‑asset register with proper documentation.
• Conduct periodic fixed‑asset verification and reconciliation.
• Prepare timely financial statements and management reports.
• Analyze financial data, provide variance analysis and actionable insights.
• Ensure all reports comply with IFRS and local accounting standards.
• Support audit preparation by creating schedules and reporting packs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2‑4 years of experience in General Ledger accounting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in English.
