Internship - Social & Behavior Change (Girls’ Empowerment)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a motivated intern to support its Social and Behavior Change (SBC) programme focused on girls’ empowerment in Cairo. Working under the SBC Specialist, you will help design, coordinate and document initiatives that promote gender equality and empower adolescent girls.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and reviewing briefing notes, presentations, concept notes and other content related to girls’ empowerment.
• Organise programme data, draft summary reports and document lessons learned for monitoring and reporting purposes.
• Support communication and coordination with internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment of activities.
• Provide administrative and logistical support to the Girls’ Empowerment Unit.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or recently graduated (≤2 years) from an undergraduate or graduate programme.
• Strong academic performance as demonstrated by university records.
• Fluency in Arabic and proficiency in at least one UNICEF working language (English, French or Spanish).
