Production Shift Leader

About the role

The Production Shift Leader is responsible for executing the daily production plan at PepsiCo’s North Africa facility. Working closely with maintenance engineers, the role ensures optimal line performance, monitors key efficiency metrics, and drives continuous improvement in water, energy, waste, food safety and environmental health & safety.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the execution of the daily production plan and track true and net efficiency.
• Monitor water usage, energy consumption and waste, ensuring KPI targets are met.
• Communicate machine downtime instantly and record it in the production report.
• Manage raw material and packaging requests via SAP and coordinate finished‑goods delivery to the warehouse.
• Oversee line cleanliness before, during and after each shift.
• Perform autonomous maintenance tasks (cleaning, inspection, lubrication, tightening) and handle related work orders in SAP PM.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in food & beverage.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and respond quickly to production issues.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with maintenance, logistics and quality teams.
• Commitment to safety, quality and sustainability standards.

Required skills

• SAP (ERP) for material handling and maintenance work orders.
• Knowledge of autonomous maintenance procedures.
