Site Manager / Construction Manager – High-Speed Rail OCS

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager / Construction Manager to lead the Overhead Contact System (OCS) works for a high-speed rail project in Cairo. The role is freelance, full-time for 24 months with strong extension potential, and the client will cover travel and accommodation.

Key responsibilities

• Overall supervision of OCS/catenary installation across multiple work fronts.
• Technical coordination of subcontractors, construction partners and engineering teams.
• Monitoring construction quality, safety, progress and compliance with specifications.
• Managing daily site activities, reporting progress, risks and mitigation measures.
• Providing technical guidance, reviewing installation methods and ensuring adherence to approved procedures.
• Supporting testing, commissioning and hand‑over activities.

Required profile

• Extensive experience as Site Manager, Construction Manager or Senior Supervisor on railway electrification projects.
• Proven hands‑on experience with High‑Speed Rail OCS / catenary systems.
• Strong leadership and contractor‑management capabilities.
• Ability to work in an international, multicultural environment.
• Fluent English communication skills.
