Accounting Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to lead a small team of accounting professionals. The role involves managing month‑end and year‑end close processes for multiple legal entities, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local statutory requirements, and delivering high‑quality financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and evaluate a team of accountants, assigning tasks and conducting performance reviews.
• Own month‑end and year‑end closing procedures across various jurisdictions, meeting strict deadlines.
• Oversee preparation of consolidated financial statements and detailed reporting packages.
• Supervise accounting for complex investment structures, intercompany transfers, and multi‑currency transactions.
• Act as subject‑matter expert for the ERP system, driving enhancements and managing implementations or migrations (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Ensure timely tax and VAT filings, with specific responsibility for UAE Corporate Tax and VAT compliance.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance workflow efficiency and internal controls.
• Work remotely with minimal supervision, managing priorities and delivering results under tight deadlines.

Required profile

• 7‑10 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional qualifications (CMA, CA, ACCA) are a plus.
• Experience managing multi‑entity, multi‑country accounting operations, preferably in VC, PE, or family office environments.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, multi‑entity consolidation, and complex intercompany transactions.
• Hands‑on experience with multi‑jurisdictional tax and VAT filing.
