Assistant Chief Engineer – Hotel Maintenance

About the role

The Crowne Plaza West Cairo – Arkan hotel is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer to support the Chief Engineer in maintaining the property’s facilities. This role ensures that all guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house spaces operate safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily routine and preventative maintenance activities across the hotel.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests in line with established standards.
• Execute the preventative maintenance schedule and verify that equipment meets required performance levels.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure tools and work areas are in good condition.
• Maintain accurate documentation of engineering operations and support energy‑conservation initiatives.
• Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on a variety of mechanical and electrical equipment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience leading or supervising a maintenance team.
• Previous hotel or hospitality engineering experience preferred.

Required skills

• Electro‑mechanical engineering knowledge.
