Development Manager - Integrations

About the role

The Development Manager – Integrations will lead a team of integration engineers responsible for designing, implementing, and operating enterprise‑grade integrations across applications and systems. This position combines people leadership with technical credibility and requires a strategic mindset to scale delivery while aligning with business and architectural goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of integration engineers; set objectives, provide feedback, and support career growth.
• Drive adoption of Integration Factory standards, ways of working, and CI/CD practices.
• Participate in technical refinement with Solution Architects and engineers to ensure design feasibility and delivery clarity.
• Translate user stories into executable engineering tasks and ensure rigorous testing before declaring readiness.
• Coordinate deployments with Operations/SRE; ensure production readiness, monitoring, logging, and rollback planning.
• Act as escalation point for complex delivery issues and production incidents; ensure thorough engineering response and root‑cause action.
• Maintain proper documentation – design specs, test plans, and runbooks.
• Tag and review Epics, Features, and User Stories, including effort estimates and prioritization support.
• Drive continuous improvement of integration delivery practices, standards, and engineering ways of working.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software or integration development.
• 3+ years of experience managing or leading an engineering team.
• Strong communication skills in spoken and written English.

Required skills

• Integration technologies: REST APIs, API Management, OData, SOAP, event‑driven integrations, JMS, IDocs, RFC.
• Experience with at least one integration platform such as SAP BTP Integration Suite / CPI, MuleSoft, or Kafka.
• Scripting languages used in integration development: JavaScript, Groovy.
• Agile frameworks: SAFe or Scrum.
• Work‑management tools: Azure DevOps, Jira, ServiceNow.
