Director of Food & Beverage

About the role

The Director of Food & Beverage will lead all F&B operations at Kempinski Safaga, ensuring the brand’s vision of excellence is reflected in every guest experience. This senior position oversees budgeting, service standards, supplier relationships, and marketing initiatives across all outlets.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain punctuality, professional attire, and personal grooming in line with hotel standards.
• Provide courteous service and ensure all team members follow the same example.
• Develop and manage the annual department budget and monthly income statements.
• Conduct regular performance meetings with outlet managers and lead daily/weekly F&B briefings.
• Enforce disciplinary actions in accordance with local legislation.
• Update and maintain departmental operation manuals annually.
• Source high‑quality products, build strong supplier partnerships, and monitor quality and guest satisfaction.
• Handle guest complaints promptly and courteously.
• Oversee all service areas weekly, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, banqueting, room service, and bars.
• Prepare a yearly marketing plan with competitor analysis and global trend reviews.
• Collaborate with the PR manager, sales & marketing, and the executive chef on product development and training.
• Develop departmental trainers, assign training responsibilities, and ensure outlet‑specific training programs are implemented.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in Food & Beverage operations within a luxury hotel environment.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control.
• Ability to enforce standards, manage staff, and drive service excellence.
• Excellent communication skills for internal coordination and external supplier relations.
• Experience in marketing, competitor analysis, and trend monitoring.
